Towel Rack Installation Precautions

Oct 05, 2025

1. Towel racks can be installed using plastic expansion tubes and copper screws. This minimizes damage to the floor tiles, making installation easier, and it prevents rusting and facilitates maintenance. The color of the towel rack should match the faucet and mirror (such as a round makeup mirror). For example, if the faucet has a silver-white trim, the towel rack should also have a silver-white trim, or no trim at all. However, never use gold trim, as it will look very jarring.

2. Before installation, hold one end of the towel rack rod firmly with one hand and run the other hand from one end to the other. Inferior quality towel racks will show small burrs or even peeling paint. These defects are difficult to detect with the naked eye. Also, pay attention to the electroplating and coating quality of the base of each rack. A viewing angle of approximately 70° to the incident light will make it easier to spot any flaws.

3. During installation, drill holes in the wall with an electric drill, insert the expansion screws, and then tighten the screws with a screwdriver. Another point to note during installation is that each base fixing point usually has a support screw. This screw must not be stripped or have damaged threads, otherwise it will be difficult to fix. When purchasing, you can use a small screwdriver to test this and check the quality before buying.
